Gene Stallings is continuing his recovery from a heart attack, and he’s teaming up with former rival Pat Dye to support a charity in Haiti.
The former Alabama and Auburn coaches appeared together at a Thursday charity event, as reported by AL.com.
For Stallings, the public appearance came nearly two weeks after a heart attack. He has also suffered two strokes within the past year.
The event was held at the Bright Star in Bessemer, just southwest of Birmingham, to raise funds for LiveBeyond, a Christian ministry in Haiti. It was a rare opportunity to unite both sides of the bitter Iron Bowl.
