An all-state type of season for Lee-Montgomery standout Henry Ruggs III came to a premature end when the Generals were forced to forfeit wins due to the use of an ineligible player.
Instead of getting ready to face Class 7A No. 1 McGill-Toolen in the first round of the playoffs, Lee's record turned from 6-3 to 0-9.
"It's a hard pill to swallow knowing that all the hard work we put in for the season is gone now," Ruggs said. "We can't do anything about it. We've just got to go on with it.
