Think freshmen don’t ever play at Alabama? Perhaps there’s some truth to that, but then there’s also several examples that seemingly disprove what can be seen as a myth.
In 2017, that should be the case again – just as it has been in recent seasons despite the Tide having arguably the most talented roster in college football. After the recent early successes of the likes of Jalen Hurts, Calvin Ridley and Minkah Fitzpatrick, at least eight Crimson Tide freshmen – true and redshirt – bear close inspection this season.
And if recent history is any indication, these same freshmen could make the difference in Alabama winning yet another championship.
