Six more players from Alabama high schools and colleges joined NFL practice squads on Monday.
Each NFL team can have a 10-player practice squad. As the name implies, the players on the squad practice with the team, but they cannot play in games. Only the 53 players on the active roster are eligible to play in games.
The state players signing on for practice-squad duty on Monday included:
- Cornerback Tony Brown (Alabama) with the Green Bay Packers. Brown was waived by the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday. The Chargers had signed him as an undrafted rookie.
