Five athletes with Alabama roots are among the nominees for the All Sports United Humanitarian of the Year Award.
All Sports United is a non-profit corporation that has a "core mission of educating and empowering professional athletes and sports-industry professionals to engage in efficient philanthropic work."
The nominee list includes 45 athletes, which will be trimmed to a final 10, then a winner, who will receive $10,000 to donate to a designated charity.
Online voting for the award continues through May 15.
