As San Francisco linebacker Reuben Foster's rookie season was winding down last year, 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh said: "It's been a while since I've seen someone who hits as hard as he does."
But that usually admirable football trait had a downside -- the wear and tear on Foster.
"The guy just wants to kill people," Saleh said. "So sometimes he kills himself for a play. He hits the daylights out of people. Every once in a while, he's going to get something where he might have to take a breather.
