Alabama’s latest commitment lives a long way from campus, but he has a connection to the school – and he already considered himself a fan, too.
Four-star offensive tackle Tommy Brown – who committed to the Crimson Tide last Friday – said his fandom began when he went to the tailgate before one of its recent national championship victories with his father, a former member of the Alabama track and field team.
“Alabama has always been a school that I have watched,” Brown told GN. “My dad (Vince) was a shot putter there in 1981 and 1982.
