Chris McClellan tweeted he earned an offer from Alabama football Tuesday.
The Crimson Tide is the 36th program to offer McClellan. They join Ohio State, Oklahoma, USC in the race to land the Oklahoma product. McClellan said he had been in contact with Alabama’s defensive back coach before he was informed of his offer.
“It was actually sort of crazy,” McClellan said. “I have been talking to coach (Jay) Valai for a minute. They were trying to get me to come to a camp, but my June schedule is crazy. It was going to be hard for me to get there.
