Jihaad Campbell signed a National Letter of Intent to play football at the University of Alabama over offers from Texas A&M, Clemson and others.
Campbell played his senior season at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Campbell is listed at 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds. Alabama’s push for him sort of came from nowhere.
The four-star recruit was once verbally committed to Clemson. He de-committed after Brent Venables took the head coaching job at Oklahoma and took a surprise visit to Alabama last weekend. He was in town for one day before visiting Texas A&M.
Campbell joins a loaded outside linebacker room for the Crimson Tide with his long frame and fierce rushing style.
