The 2021 regular season is a wrap and the “second season” begins. In some sports, the postseason is one or two games and it’s over. Softball postseason can be much much more.
First up is the SEC Tournament which is single elimination. In theory if the 12 or 13 seed ran the table, they could play five games. As the 8-seed in 2017, Ole Miss made a wild run of four straight wins to take the SECT trophy back to Oxford.
Amazingly, Alabama has not won this tournament since the magical season of 2012 with Jackie Traina in the circle.
