As many as 15 new or little-used players may make surprise contributions to Alabama football in 2017. Outside the 10 we focus on in this post are five more who may see worthwhile playing time. They did not make our list of 10 because they are either down the depth chart or too well known to be considered surprises.
Among the entire group of 15 are 12 true freshmen, two redshirt freshmen and one redshirt junior.
