The Alabama Crimson Tide have hosted four-star linebacker Kane Patterson (Nashville, TN) has made three unofficial visits to Tuscaloosa in 2018 and received an offer from the program on Junior Day back in February.
As such, it's no surprise to see Alabama right at the top of his list along with Auburn, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Texas A&M.
Patterson expects to make a decision this summer and discussed his relationship with the Alabama coaching staff and what he likes about the Tide with BamaOnline.
“They said to just enjoy the rest of my summer visits because I’m getting closer to the end now,” Patterson said. “Do what I feel is right for me.
“I feel like I fit really well in the scheme they run defensively. Also, I feel like I have a really close relationship with Coach Golding. I feel like me and him really mesh together. And then also I like Coach Lupoi and Coach Saban a lot.”
Patterson has two more unofficial visits currently scheduled - Ohio State on Wednesday and another visit to Alabama before the end of the month - and expects to make his decision before the start of football season.
According to BamaOnline, Patterson will only take an official visit to the school he commits to.
The 6-foot-1, 225-pounder is ranked as the No. 15 outside linebacker and No. 197 overall prospect in the country, according to the 247sports Composite.
