Alabama Crimson Tide defensive lineman Da'Shawn Hand was arrested and charged with DUI Saturday morning. The arrest of the former No. 1 overall recruit in the nation comes just before the start of fall practice for Alabama. His mugshot and charge sheet is below.
"This type of behavior is not acceptable and we are disappointed in Da'Shawn's actions," Alabama head coach Nick Saban said. "We are still gathering information and will evaluate what we need to do in terms of appropriate discipline as we move forward, so better choices and decisions can be made in the future."
Any potential discipline and further details on the arrest are not known at this time. Hand is expected to be a key contributor on the line for Alabama.

Hand, a senior, was the nation's top recruit in 2014. He's waited for his chance to shine, relegated to backup duty early in his career. But with Jonathan Allen and Dalvin Tomlinson in the NFL, Alabama expected Hand to step up. He has 44 tackles, 11 TFLs and six sacks in his career.
