The Alabama Crimson Tide have thrown their names in the hat for a top athlete out of the Class of 2016, extending an offer to 4-star 2016 athlete Mecole Hardman (Elberton, Ga.)
Hardman currently holds offers from over 20 programs all across the nation, and says he feels "blessed" to Alabama now in the mix.
“I talked to Coach (Billy) Napier on the phone,” Hardman said, via 247Sports. “He was asking about my interest in Alabama, and about my family. He said I have a unique set of skills with the ball in my hands, and that he likes my style of play and everything, and that they are very interested."
Hardman that Alabama wants him at wide receiver, along with the potential of working on special teams. Regardless of what they're recruiting him for, Hardman is just happy to have the offer on the table.
“It’s a big time program,” Hardman said. “For them to give me an offer it’s a blessing. There aren’t a lot of people that are fortunate enough to get offers from Alabama, so I’m just thankful.”
The 5-foot-11, 170-pound prospect is projected to lean in-state towards Georgia, but a visit to Tuscaloosa could change that in an instant.
Some of the schools I’m interested in right now are places I’ve visited and feel comfortable with,” Hardman said. “Alabama is definitely a school I’m interested in, I just need to get out there for a visit.”
