MAC CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK RELEASE
CLEVELAND, Ohio - University of Akron senior Dan Zupan (Berea, Ohio) has been selected by the Mid-American Conference as the MAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday, Sept. 13.
The award is the first of the season for an Akron runner.
Zupan opened the 2016 campaign for the Zips capturing the men's four-mile run at the Tommy Evans Invitational on Friday, Sept. 9, in a course-record time of 20:05.94.
The Akron men's cross country squad is ranked 11th in the latest USTFCCCA Great Lakes Regional poll and returns to action at the Virginia Tech Alumni Invitational on Sept.
