DALLAS—University of Akron senior Jamal Marcus (Durham, N.C.) has been named to the Watch List for the 2016 Bronco Nagurski Trophy, the Football Writers Association of America announced on Friday.
The Bronco Nagurski Watch List contains 88 defensive standouts from all 10 Division I FBS conferences, including three players from the Mid-American Conference (MAC). Players may be added or removed from the watch list during the course of the season. Once again, the FWAA will announce a National Defensive Player of the Week from early September through mid-November.
