OXFORD, Ohio – In the 2016 Mid-American Conference season opener, the Akron women's soccer team out shot Miami (Ohio) on goal, 6-to-4, and played to a 0-0 draw with the RedHawks on Friday afternoon in Oxford, Ohio.
"A draw on the road is a respectable result against a good team like Miami. It was a tough game, but everybody played a part and they worked extrmely hard," said head coach Noreen Herlihy. "It was a game where you had to dig deep and play hard, and we did just that. We had a couple of a good looks and had some opportunities but didnt capitalize.
