Akron, Ohio – The Akron Zips women's golf team opens the spring season in Bradenton, Fla. at the Mid-American Conference Match Play Challenge hosted by Bowling Green. The tournament will be played at the Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club's Royal Lakes Golf Course, a par-72 that spans 6,068 yards.
"Match play is a wonderful way to open the season," head coach Jenny King said. "I expect this team to learn a great deal to help us for the remainder of our spring season."
The Zips received a first round bye and are scheduled to tee-off on Monday, Feb.
