Lakewood Ranch, Fla. – The UA women's golf team won its quarter final match against Florida Gulf Coast at the Mid-American Conference Match Play Challenge hosted by Bowling Green. The Zips earned a 3.5 to 1.5 victory at par-72 6,068-yard Royal Lakes Golf Course at Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club.
"I'm really proud of the way the team handled this match today," head coach Jenny King said. "I consider FGCU a tough opponent, and we played steady and relaxed all day. The wind was a factor down the stretch, but our short games kept us ahead and gave us a great opening victory.
