The University of Akron women’s basketball team will return to the court on Wednesday when it hosts Bucknell University. The game will start unusually early, as tipoff is set for 10:30 a.m.
The Zips come in with a 2-1 record on the season after wins against Malone and Canisius and a loss to Penn State. It will be the Zips first game in ten days after the Thanksgiving Break.
Senior guard Hannah Plybon comes into the game averaging 27 points per game, which leads the Mid-American Conference by over three points per game. For her effort so far, Plybon was named MAC East Division Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
