SMALLBORE RESULTS IN PDF AKRON, Ohio – Three-time defending national champion West Virginia is half-way to its fourth consecutive title after capturing the team competition in smallbore at the 2016 NCAA Rifle Championships on Friday at Akron's Louis and Freda Stile Athletics Field House. The Mountaineers fired a 2338, five points better than second-place Texas Christian (TCU), 2333. Murray State took third (2329), while Alaska Fairbanks stood fourth (2313). WVU had three shooters in the Top 10 overall, led by senior Michael Bamsey (587) and freshman Ginny Thrasher (586).
