CLEVELAND– Ten University of Akron football players earned Academic All-Mid-American Conference honors for the 2015 season, the league office announced on Tuesday.
In total, the MAC honored 124 football student-athletes from its 13 schools. Central Michigan led all programs with 17 honorees, followed by Kent State (12), Bowling Green (11), and Akron (10).
Senior placekicker Robert Stein (Cincinnati, Ohio) was one of three students who was a four-time recipient of the academic honor. Senior QB Kyle Pohl (Farmersville, Ohio) was a three-time honoree.
