AKRON, Ohio— Zips Athletics welcomed more than 500 fans to its annual Meet the Team Day on Sunday at InfoCision Stadium - Summa Field.
The free event featured autographs and photos with the Zips' football team. The marching band and cheerleaders performed, and head coach Terry Bowden addressed the crowd.
Additionally, children also participated in on-field drills with the football players. Season-ticket holders received free food.
The Akron Zips open the 2016 season against VMI on Saturday, Sept. 3, at 6:30 p.m. at InfoCision Stadium - Summa Field.
