Springfield, Pa. – Freshman Danielle Nicholson (Geneva, Ohio) completed the second round of the U.S. Women's Amateur with a 3-over par 74, bringing her 36-hole total to 7-over par at a 149 strokes. Unfortunately, Nicholson missed the cut by two strokes as 68 of the 156 golfers advanced to match play at Rolling Green Golf Club.
"Danielle was disappointed to fall just short of making the cut," Zips' head coach Jenny King said. "She played two days of very solid golf and fought until the end. Danielle proved she can play at a high level, and I'm excited to see how it positively effects her and her teammates this season.
