AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron track and field team turned in 11 first-place performances, highlighted by junior Clayton Murphy (New Paris, Ohio) running the first sub-four-minute mile (3:57.11) in program and Stile Athletics Field House history, to round out competition at the 12th Annual Akron Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 6.
The Zips also recorded eight efforts that rank among the top-five all-time marks in program history, including junior Daniella Johnson (Gahanna, Ohio) shattering the school record en route to winning the long jump with a leap of 20-9.
