RALEIGH, N.C. - University of Akron junior Clayton Murphy (New Paris, Ohio) garnered a first-place performance in the men's 1,500 meter to direct the efforts of the Zips' track and field team on the opening day of the Raleigh Relays on Friday, March 25.
In his first race since capturing an NCAA title in the 800 meters on March 12, Murphy led all runners in the 1,500 meters crossing the line in 3:44.
