Columbus, Ohio – The Akron Zips men's golf team posted a 616 (+48) team score en route to a ninth place 36-hole performance at the 2017 Robert Kepler Intercollegiate hosted by Ohio State on Saturday.
The Zips opened the event with a 315 (+31) and cut 14 strokes off the second round score for a 301 (+17) tally at OSU's Scarlet course, a par 71 that stretches 7,455 yards.
Sophomore Elliott Grayson (Shelby, N.C.) led Akron's scoring efforts, posting a 4-over par 146 two-round effort. Grayson is tied for sixth place after carding a75 (+4) and an even-par 71 scores.
