AKRON, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference regular season champion Akron Zips will travel to Columbus, Ohio, to face Ohio State in the first round of the National Invitation Tournament on Tuesday, March 15 at Value City Arena.

Akron (26-8) enters the game as a No. 6 seed while Ohio State (20-13) is a No. 3 seed. The game will air live on ESPN beginning at 7 p.
