RESULTS (PDF) GENEVA, Ohio - University of Akron track and field squads garnered a pair of victories and five top-five performances on the final day of the Spire Division I Track and Field Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 11. Sophomore Matt Ludwig (Chardon, Ohio) continued his winning ways in the men's pole vault finishing first with a mark of 17-5.75 (5.33m), while senior Becky Szabo (North Olmsted, Ohio) claimed top honors in the women's pole vault eclipsing 13-4.25 (4.07m). "It was good to see Terrell McClain get the school record and win a major invite," Akron head coach Dennis Mitchell commented.
