CLEVELAND, Ohio –For the third time this season, junior Isaiah Johnson earned YP.com Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week honors. The 6-10, 295LB center from Cincinnati, Ohio split this week's honors with Kent State's Khaliq Spicer, announced by the league office Monday. This marks the fifth time this season an Akron player garnered the honor – Antino Jackson (Nov. 23), Pat Forsythe (Dec. 7), and Isaiah Johnson (Dec. 28, Jan. 4, and Jan. 25).
Johnson led the men's basketball team to a pair of Mid-American Conference wins, snapping the Zips' two-game losing skid.
