Blue Edges White, 20-17, in Akron Spring Game

AKRON, Ohio – Akron football's Blue squad edged out its White counterpart, 20-17, in the Zips' annual Spring Game on Saturday afternoon at InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field.

The Blue squad, coached by offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach A.J. Milwee and the offensive staff, jumped onto the scoreboard first as redshirt sophomore PK Tom O'Leary (Tucker, Ga.) nailed a 32-yard field goal with 8:02 remaining in the first quarter.

The White squad, coached by associate head coach and defensive coordinator Chuck Amato and his defensive staff, drove the field in just 44 seconds as redshirt junior QB Tra'Von Chapman (Kent, Ohio) threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to sophomore Kwadarrius Smith (Orlando, Fla.
