AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron track and field continues its spring campaign this week traveling to Austin, Texas, to compete at the Texas Relays this Wednesday through Saturday, March 30-April 2.
The 89th annual meet will draw more than 7,500 athletes from around the country and around the world among the high school, collegiate and professional ranks. A total of 32 states and 20 countries will be represented this weekend in Austin.
This year's meet will see athletes from 32 states, plus the District of Columbia, and 20 countries and 813 high schools and 186 collegiate teams combining with 293 invitational athletes for a total of 7,519 total participants in the meet, making this the largest Texas Relays ever held.
