NORFOLK, Va. – The University of Akron swimming and diving team was named a College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American team for the 2017 spring semester.
"Congratulations to the Zips!" said head coach Brian Peresie, who guided Akron to its fourth consecutive Mid-American Conference championship. "Not only are they relentless in the pool, but they are also relentless in the classroom. It's an honor to work with them each and every day. These accolades are a by-product of hard work, self-discipline, and balance."
Along with the team's recognition, seven Zips earned individual honors.
