AKRON, Ohio — The University of Akron football program, under the leadership of sixth-year head coach Terry Bowden, signed 13 student-athletes to National Letters of Intent on Wednesday.
This year's class features a lot of homegrown talent. Seven student-athletes list their hometowns within the state of Ohio, five from the City of Akron and two within a 20-mile radius of campus.
Additionally, four incoming Zips hail from the Florida, one signee calls Virginia home, and one hails from Texas.
