AKRON, Ohio- The Akron Zips remained a perfect 15-0 at James A Rhodes Arena after defeating cross-town rival Kent State. The Zips used 34 points off the bench for the 74-60 victory over the Golden Flashes on Friday in front of a sell-out crowd at the JAR. With the win, Akron finished its regular season campaign 24-7 overall and 13-5 in Mid-American Conference action while Kent State dropped to 19-12 on the season and 10-8 in league play.
Seniors Jake Kretzer (Bainbridge, Ohio), Reggie McAdams (Elida, Ohio) and Pat Forsythe (Brunswick, Ohio) were all honored before the game.
