Kannapolis, N.C. – During the final round of The Cabarrus County Irish Creek Collegiate, the Akron Zips men's golf team climbed four spots on the leaderboard, moving to eighth overall with four performances in the low 70's. Akron carded a third-best final team score of 287 (+3) on Sunday, finishing the 54-hole event at the par 71 The Club at Irish Creek with an 885 (+33) team total.
Junior J.B. Williams (Danville, Ky.) led the Zips through the final round with a 1-under par 70 score, while junior Yann Pfeiffer (Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche, France) and freshman Elliott Grayson (Shelby, N.
