Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has tested positive for COVID-19 and will not be available for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Buffalo Bills, according to multiple reports.
Fitzpatrick participated in Wednesday's practice, and the Miami Herald reports that the veteran quarterback tested positive at some point after the workout.
The Dolphins, according to reports, are conducting contact tracing to determine the close-contact risk of their other quarterbacks, including starter Tua Tagovailoa.
NFL Network first reported Fitzpatrick's positive test Thursday.
Tagovailoa participated in Thursday's practice, but it remains unclear when the Dolphins began contact tracing their quarterbacks.
