The Virginia Tech Hokies (18-7, 7-5) bolstered their NCAA tournament resume in a big way Saturday night when they stunned the No. 2 Virginia Cavaliers, 61-60, in overtime at John Paul Jones Arena.
The upset, which was capped by a go-ahead layup from Kerry Blackshear Jr. with eight seconds remaining in the extra session, snapped Virginia's 15-game winning streak that dated back to Dec. 16.
