Virginia keeps improving, knocks off struggling Duke 42-34

Virginia coach Mike London might not return in 2016, but his team is playing hard for him as they close out the season and maybe his UVa tenure. The Cavaliers won’t go to a bowl game, but they helped spoil what was once a promising season at Duke.

Virginia beat Duke 42-34, sending the Blue Devils to their fourth straight loss.

What the win means for Virginia: The Cavs are 4-7, but they have played much better since the end of September. They played their best game of the season against Duke, using a big-play offense and then some timely defense stops to hold off a late charge.
