Two ACC teams are in the College Football Playoff conversation at the midway point to the season, the way we all expected.
Kinda sorta?
The talk in August focused on whether Clemson and Florida State could give the ACC two playoff teams. Clemson has done its part as the only undefeated team in the league and has the best playoff shot despite a shakier than anticipated start.
But Louisville has replaced Florida State as the second playoff candidate, thanks to its impressive win over the Seminoles in Week 3. Though the Seminoles have been underwhelming, considering the preseason hype that surrounded them, the Cardinals have shattered expectations and recalibrated the conversation.
