2015 record: 4-8 (2-6 ACC)
Orange is the new fast. That’s the motto coach Dino Babers and his staff are bringing to Central New York, where they look to restore a Northeastern power that has fallen on hard times over the better part of the past two decades. Scott Shafer got off to a great start in Year 1 of the ACC era at Syracuse, winning a bowl game, but struggled over the ensuing two years, going just 7-17 amid a plethora of injuries. Enter Babers, an offensive wizard coming off a MAC title at Bowling Green, which came after a two-year stint at Eastern Illinois, where he developed New England Patriots (temporary) starter Jimmy Garoppolo.
