Rick Pitino has filed a lawsuit against the University of Louisville, claiming the school committed a breach of contract when firing him, according to Paul Miles of WHAS.
Pitino was fired in October amidst of an FBI scandal for paying recruits and their families. The veteran coach had more than $40 million remaining on his contract, running through the 2025-26 season, but removing him for cause took away any potential buyout.
