Only accolade Florida State's Dalvin Cook wants is one that eludes him

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Dalvin Cook told the Florida State crowd to ease its anxieties. He had just finished bulldozing a Clemson player into the end zone and was signaling for the crowd to settle down.

He was going to bring back the Seminoles, who at the time trailed 14-0. And in the second half on two perfectly executed runs, he did. In two plays and 20 seconds, he gathered 113 yards and two touchdowns to turn a six-point deficit into an eight-point lead.

"I haven’t seen anyone like Lamar Jackson, [but] Dalvin Cook is similar in the sense that when you’re coaching against those guys you hold your breath and hope somebody can tackle them," an ACC defensive assistant said.
