CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Before Saturday’s game against Pittsburgh, a contingent of North Carolina receivers took to the field for warmups wearing bathrobes. It was symbolic, Bug Howard said, of how the rest of the country felt about his group.
“They’re sleeping on us,” Howard said.
And it’s true that UNC’s receivers, among the deepest groups in the nation, probably warrant more attention. It’s true, too, that UNC has won 14 of its last 15 regular-season games and still isn’t earning much national respect.
