NC State Subpoenaed Amid College Basketball Corruption Scandal, FBI Probe

NC State has reportedly been subpoenaed by a grand jury in the FBI's ongoing investigation into corruption and bribery in college basketball.

According to the Washington Post's Jesse Dougherty and Will Hobson, the FBI wants to examine records from the Wolfpack basketball program—although the exact contents of the request have been made confidential.

Yahoo Sports' Pete Thamel and Pat Forde previously reported former NC State point guard Dennis Smith Jr. was among the players who allegedly accepted impermissible benefits from Andy Miller's agency, ASM Sports.

According to one document obtained by Yahoo, Smith allegedly received a $43,500 payment from ASM.
