Even after missing the 2018 NCAA tournament, Mike Brey has agreed to an extension that will keep him as coach of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish through the 2024-25 season.
The school announced on Tuesday that it has signed the program's all-time winningest coach to a three-year extension. Brey, whose previous deal ran through the 2021-22 season, expressed his gratitude in a statement:
"My goal has always been to be good enough to retire as the head coach at Notre Dame. I am truly honored and humbled to be the head coach at the University of Notre Dame.
