Miami must keep its eyes on Coastal Division prize

For the third straight season, Miami lost to Florida State in yet another oh-so-close heartbreaker. This one felt like a much bigger missed opportunity.

Not only were the Hurricanes playing at home, they were favored to win and clearly riding a feel-good wave of optimism under first-year coach Mark Richt. They had the lead, and the momentum in the third quarter when they drove down the field with a chance to build on a 13-3 lead.

Brad Kaaya threw a questionable pass into the end zone, and Tarvarus McFadden intercepted it. From there, the Seminoles scored 17 unanswered points and eventually won to save their spiraling season.
