Louisville opens spring practice in eight days, and it will do so with a complete coaching staff.
Bobby Petrino acted quickly in replacing offensive coordinator Garrick McGee, who last week left for the same post on Lovie Smith's staff at Illinois. Petrino is hiring West Virginia assistant Lonnie Galloway as co-offensive coordinator, sources confirmed to ESPN on Monday. The Charleston Gazette-Mail's Mike Casazza first reported Galloway's move on Sunday night. Louisville is expected to announce Galloway's hiring later Monday.
Galloway boasts a strong track record as a wide receivers coach, a position he twice has held at West Virginia.
