Dabo Swinney likes to joke with his old offensive coordinator that, when Chad Morris interviewed for the job, someone had slipped him a Clemson playbook ahead of time so he'd know all the lingo.
There's probably no truth to it, but the point is: Morris aced the interview back in December of 2010. He got the gig, coached Clemson's offense to four electric seasons, and then went on to SMU.
Funny thing, though. The guy he beat out for the job? That'd be Justin Fuente, head coach at Virginia Tech and the man tasked with ending Clemson's 2016 playoff hopes in the ACC championship game on Saturday.
