It didn't take John Mooney long to find a new home. In mid-August the 6-foot-9 power forward backed off a pledge he made to Florida early in his high school career. On Sunday evening, Mooney, a standout at Altamonte Springs (Fla.) Lake Brantley, committed to Notre Dame his father -- Kevin Mooney -- told Scout. "We have a 6-9 Leprechaun running around our house," the elder Mooney said. After backing of f the Florida pledge, Mooney received a wide range of college interest and considered Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Florida, Texas, Stanford, Kansas, Boston College and a host of others.
